On WMDs
Okay, let's reset the debate a little here. There are, and were, weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. He has used them, in fact. Bill Clinton recognized the threat way back in 1998.
When the troops went in, the WMDs were not there. The question is not whether he had them, because we know he did, but what happened to them? We have found some, but not all that he had. Did he destroy them? Unlikely, since he refused to allow the UN inspectors in up until the last minute. If he was willing to comply, he probably wouldn't have allow his rule to end simply because he wanted his privacy. So where did they go?
If you want to debate the merits of the war, let's go. But let's not pretend something that isn't true. We can disagree on the war, but we cannot honestly disagree about the presence of WMDs.
