On the Death of Yasser Arafat
I’ll be blunt on this subject. Mourning the death of Yasser Arafat is like mourning the death of Usama Bin Laden. This man is, or rather was (thank God) a murderer, terrorist, and asshole. It bothers me that this jerk is being hailed around the world as a visionary leader. The only vision Arafat ever had was the destruction of Israel and the extermination of the Jews. This was made obvious when Israel, after being pressured to do so by Bill Clinton, offered an independent Palestinian state to Arafat and he refused. This led former Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to say that Arafat doesn’t want a Palestinian state next to Israel, but a Palestinian state instead of Israel. In his effort to achieve this goal, this asshole sent children with bombs strapped to their chests to kill other children.
Arafat’s death is not the end of his insults to the righteous, peace-loving people of the world. He will be buried in Ramallah in a concrete tomb. Why concrete? So that one day his casket can be removed and he can be buried on the Temple Mount. The idea of this murderous thug being buried in the same ground that Jesus Christ and all the great Hebrew Kings have walked on makes me want to puke. I really don’t understand the Muslims’ fascination with the Temple Mount, anyway. They say it’s a holy site in Islam. Yet when they gather at the Dome of the Rock to pray, they turn their backs on the Mosque. They pray to their pagan shrine in Mecca. And let’s face it, it is a pagan temple. The Ka’bah dates back to before Mohammed ever came along. The walls of the Mosque were once decorated with statues of pagan gods. These were removed by Mohammed and his Muslim army when they conquered the city in 630. But yet, the shrine remained holy to the Muslims. But I’m rambling. The point is that the only reason the Muslims hold the Temple Mount in any kind of regard is because of what it means to the Jews. Their attempt to bury Yasser Arafat there is an attempt to hijack the holiest site in Judaism. This must not be allowed to happen.
The Texian Party believes that the United States should continue their support of Israel (we are, after all, the only friend they have). We must not forget the reason the State of Israel was established by the U.N. It was to give the Jews their own homeland so that a tragedy like the Holocaust will never happen again. At least, that's why the U.S. was in favor of it. Some of our European "allies" liked that it meant all the Jews in Europe would leave. Six million Jews were killed by Hitler and the Nazis. The PLO and its terrorist allies would like nothing more than to kill the 6,199,008* people now living in Israel. This, also must not be allowed to happen.
The Texian Party also believes that Arafat was a roadblock to peace. It is a good thing that he is out of the picture. We pray that a new Palestinian leader will emerge that will be a friend to peace. But, at the risk of sounding pessimistic, we must say we're not holding our breath.
